Naruto Anime Series Celebrates 20th Anniversary With New Visuals

TV Tokyo released three new visuals to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the naruto anime series, after its premiere in Japan on October 3, 2002. Each visual features key moments and characters that happened in the first naruto anime and Naruto Shippuden.

The first visual highlights young rivals Naruto and Sasuke in the center, with secondary characters such as Sakura, Kakashi, Chouji, Kiba, his dog Akamaru, Hinata, Shikamaru and Neji on the sides. It also highlights Naruto battling with a Curse Mark formed by Sasuke, the Giant Toad Gamabunta facing the One-Tailed Beast Shukaku, Zabuza and Haku dying together, and the Third Hokage Hiruzen Sarutobi facing Orochimaru.

The second visual features many important scenes and characters from the first half of Naruto Shippuden. They include a reunion of older Sasuke and Naruto, with Sasuke battling his older brother Itachi Uchiha, and Jiraiya floating to his death in the water. It also spotlights various members of the Akatsuki group such as Nagato/Yahiko, the Six Paths of Pain, Sasori, Deidara, Hidan, and Kakuzu. Sakura, Shikamaru, Gaara, and Asuma Sarutobi are also featured in the visual.

The third visual focuses on Shippudenduring the Fourth Great Ninja War. Naruto (in his Six Paths form) and Sasuke in the center, a resurrected Itachi and Naruto’s parents, Minato and Kushina Uzumaki, on the sides, Madara and Obito Uchiha in their Ten-Tails form, and a menacing Kaguya placed at the top in the center. The visual also highlights Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura with their summoned beasts and the Valley of the End statues.

Masashi Kishimotoit is naruto The manga series was first published in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from September 21, 1999 to November 10, 2014 under the Jump Comics imprint. A total of 72 tankoubon volumes have been released. In addition to a long-running television anime series, the manga has also inspired video games, theatrical films, art books and guidebooks, novels, and a trading card game. A manga sequel titled Boruto: Naruto Next Generations launched on May 9, 2016, with its own anime adaptation released on April 5, 2017.

The first one naruto anime aired from October 3, 2002 to February 8, 2007. Naruto Shippuden aired from February 15, 2007 to March 23, 2017. Viz Media licensed the anime for release in North America, and Crunchyroll streamed all episodes in English-speaking countries and territories.
