There are a lot of things that can get people excited for a new upcoming anime. A fancy trailer is a great place to start as it gives fans a chance to see the overall style and vibe of the series itself. There are also character sheets that introduce the main crew that viewers will follow in the story itself. Then there is the synopsis of the anime and some of its episodes. While it might not seem too exciting at first, remember that these synopses are the ones that further define the series or episodes and provide the necessary context. For example, let’s look at the first for Chainsaw Man!
Yes the Chainsaw Man the anime is almost here, and many teasers have been released so far. But officially, the first synopsis for the series has just arrived, telling new fans and reminding old readers that the series is about a young child and the devil he keeps by his side.
“Denji is a teenager who lives with a chainsaw devil named Pochita. Due to the debt his father left behind, he lived a low life while paying off his debt by harvesting devil corpses with Pochita.
Denji’s life is a chasm, and unfortunately for him, the synopsis notes that things are only getting worse. The youngster is eventually betrayed by those he worked for and, as a result, he is killed. But, thanks to Pochita, he gets a second chance at life. They make a deal to let Pochita essentially become Denji, and the two merge to form a human male with a devil heart. So when Denji lets him tear himself apart, he becomes the true Chainsaw Man, a being with incredible powers and abilities that put him on par with other demons. This includes the ability to actually eliminate demons from existence after they have been eaten. No, really, that’s how this show is going to work – devils are loose constructs of real-world objects and entities. So if Denji literally eats them – which he often does – their construct is erased from the world at large.
This power leads to him being recruited by an organization of Devil Hunters, where he encounters some very unique characters who may or may not be insane themselves. There is also a demon trying to control Denji and his alternate form. The series is sure to be filled with beloved characters and action and is by far the most anticipated series of the coming months.
Along with the recent trailers, the anime also revealed the voice cast for the Japanese and English versions of the show. However you want to enjoy it, you’ll be able to when it arrives next month.
