Best New Animated Series in January 2022

  • Winter anime season runs through January 2022
  • Most of the upcoming shows are all about fantasy, action, and romance
  • Some new anime adaptations will air next month

The home stretch in the 2021 seasonal entertainment lineup still has a few gems to offer passionate fans. With many great titles already available through the streaming services, fans still have something to look forward to as there are a few anime shows that have yet to air.

Here are five of the best upcoming anime to complement the Winter 2021 line up.

“Koroshi Ai”

For those looking for a more mature take on the action-romance genre, “Koroshi Ai” or “Love of Kill” in English, is the story of a notorious hitman trying to find love in his work.

Although the premise may sound silly, “Koroshi Ai” takes himself seriously. Expect to see a fair amount of blood and violence as well as a slightly obsessive infatuation that hides a deep and complex web of intrigue beneath the faces of the main characters.

“Teasing Master Takagi-san Season 3”

If the romance mixed with the seinen violence is too much to bear, “Teasing Master Takagi-san” might be the best show to watch. The insanely healthy anime is set to return next January for its third season, giving viewers more of the adorable relationship between the stubborn Nishikata and the eponymous Takagi.

“My darling in disguise”

While spending time alone in the home economics room after class, introverted doll artist Hina Wakana Gojou is suddenly interrupted by Kitagawa Marin, the school boisterous beauty, with one request in mind: help her in her cosplay hobby.

“My Dress-Up Darling” is a high school romance comedy that delves into the wonderful world of cosplay, featuring adorable characters, relatable events, and a few risky moments, perfect for fans of the genre.

“Attack on Titan Final Season, Part 2”

The grand finale of “Attack On Titan” will air next January and will finally put an end to the Eren Yeager saga. Uncover the secrets of the Titans and attend Studio MAPPA as they go all out for the end of this beloved series.

“The Vanitas Case Study Part 2”

The second season of “Vanitas No Karte” will pick up right where the first left off. The story will mark the start of the Beast arc and delve deeper into the story of Jeanne, her family, and August Ruthven’s shady involvement in vampire politics.
