Netflix animated series set in Edinburgh releases new artwork for two-part sequel


A Netflix animated series set in Edinburgh has released a sneaky preview of the new comic artwork, which includes iconic locations in Scotland’s capital.

The main series of The Seven Deadly Sins ended on Netflix a while ago, but a two-part sequel is set to be released – and Edinburgh is the star of the show!

Writing on Twitter, the official Netflix Anime account wrote, “The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh Part 2 is coming! Here is the new art that was released today at Anime Japan!”

The show follows Tristan as he journeys to Edinburgh Castle to exploit the gifts given to him by his powerful parents before they can harm others.

Other stars include Meliodas, the original star of The Seven Deadly Sins – though he’s an older soldier here, with a wife, Elizabeth, and son Tristan.

The original anime first introduced this character with its finale as a briefly visited epilogue with the boy.

Currently, this two-part project is set to debut in 2022, but no official release date has been shared.
