After a teaser arrived in Marchthere is a new update on Netflix’s animated series Tekken: Bloodlinebased on the acclaimed Bandai Namco fighting game franchise, and it comes straight from creator Katsuhiro Harada, with new, never-before-seen previews of the series.
Until Tekken: Bloodline the plot goes, here’s what we know, courtesy of Netflix: “Power is everything.” Jin Kazama learned family self-defense arts, traditional Kazama-style martial arts, from his mother at an early age. Even so, he was helpless when a monstrous evil suddenly appeared, destroying everything he held dear, changing his life forever. Angry at himself for not being able to stop him, Jin swore revenge and sought absolute power to demand it. His quest will lead to the ultimate battle on the world stage: the King of Iron Fist Tournament.
Netflix is no stranger to bringing video games into its series realm (see: League of Legends, Castlevania, and the witcher), and with legions of tekken fans – the franchise debuted in 1994 – it seems there’s already a built-in audience for Line. It is expected to arrive on Netflix at some point later this year.
